Our roots go back more than 30 years into the sandy loam of the San Joaquin Valley. Right from the start, we set our sights on the two crops best suited to the area’s unique soil and climate.
Today, we have transformed the arid land into more than 70,000 acres of prime pistachio and almond orchards. That’s more than five million trees producing in excess of 39 billion nuts annually.
Our 30,000 acres of pistachio orchards are the largest in the Western Hemisphere. And in a state famous for its almonds, we are proud to be California’s largest almond grower, with more than 40,000 acres of permanent almond orchards.
Stewardship of the environment has always been a core value of Paramount
Farms. Our groundbreaking research and development has led the way to pioneering
advances in agriculture and orchard management, including the reduction
of pesticide use by nearly 50%. Our innovative techniques not only conserve
water and preserve our natural resources, but ultimately allow the orchards
to produce more nuts more efficiently. |
